A weird neighbour

Next to the place we used to live in, we had a neighbor who had a family of nine. They lived happily and enjoyed life without disturbances.

As days went by and finally turned into months, the father of the nine children started loitering with the underage girls. When his childhood friend called Frederick, came to know his behavior, they parted ways.

After a few weeks his family started hearing rumors within the community that their father was using money to buy sex from the underage girls but they ignored, thinking it was all lies.

One evening, when he was from work, he was feeling unwell and he changed his clothes and got out of the house on pretext that he was going out to puff. His wife did not suspect anything, and just let him go, since she knew he will be back after a few seconds.

He went secretively to the hospital without the wife’s knowledge to be tested, since he already doubted his status on regard to his earlier promiscuous behavior.

Immediately, he requested the doctor to test his blood, he was first counseled so that he could accept the results in whichever way they came. Out of which he accepted whole heartedly.

His heart was thumping so hard, as he did not know what he would tell the wife, in case the results turned out to be positive, his forty days of a thief were already numbered. Still, he decided to put on a brave face and let the doctor test his blood.

After the long awaited moment, the results came out and showed that, he had tested positive. He was shocked and dumb founded but he had to change his ways and live with the reality. The doctor advised him to come back the following day accompanied with his wife so that the two of them could get tested once again so that his wife would be in a position to know her status.

On his way back home, he was shaking and was afraid to face his wife with such shocking, sad news. As he was approaching the doorstep to his house, he closed his eyes and said,’’ Lord, I know I have disappointed not only my wife but the entire family. Let them have more understanding and accept me with this virus.’’

Immediately, he knocked the door and it was opened, he went straight to the sitting room, swallowed food very fast and requested the children to go to bed.

The moment his children were in deep sleep, he told his wife about his status. She was shocked and lost for words, and just recalled the rumor that was going round in the community about his husband’s behavior, but she ignored.

Finally, he accepted the condition and they counseled each other, the following day; his wife went for HIV test and she turned out to be positive. Both of them started using Antiretroviral, (ARV), and up to date they still use the drugs.

One can hardly tell if they are positive since they are very healthy by just a look on their outside appearance.A great lesson to the young people, let them not get cheated by the physical looks, rather they should go for the test.

Tragic death

There is a small village known as Macarena, There was a boy who used to live with his parents, he was the only son and the only child. His parents loved him so much anything he could ask for, he was given.

He would travel with his parents anywhere they went. One day, when they were traveling to Mombassa, on their way, they got an accident. Not only was the boy injured but also his parents too.

They were rushed nearby hospital. The doctors tried their best to help the patients but it was too late, his parents died but the boy survived even after losing one leg. After a week, the boy was out of the hospital walking in crutches.

He went with his relative and neighbors to bury his parents, they buried them at their home. After the burial, the boy was taken in by his uncle who was father of two children a boy and a girl and one wife.

His uncle took all the properties of his parents. His uncle’s wife started mistreating the boy badly,  she would force the boy to do almost all house chores  like washing clothes, cleaning house and even cooking.

When the boy complained to her the pain he was feeling on the leg and had to seek doctor’s advice, the uncle turned him away saying he didnot have money.

One day, he was told to go fetch water, he met a Good Samaritan on his way to the river. The man greeted him and asked him what was ailing him, tears started rolling down his cheeks, and the good samaritan decided to inquire more. The boy opened upto him and told him from A to Z the pain and suffering he had been going through.

The good samaritan accepted to take him to hospital and provide him with accomodation too. The boy is okay healthwise and continuing with his education. If it were you, what would you do?

He Was Sexually Harassed

It was on a chilly Thursday morning the sun was on the horizontal. Dew had already started falling from the green grass and the birds were singing their melodious songs.

That day, I woke up to wash my clothes. No sooner had I started, than I heard a boy Screaming from pain and anguish in need of help.

I ran where the noise was coming from and I was shocked to see a group of people gathered at Bens house. He was a black, huge, shaggy man who didn’t talk much. People were banging the door harshly. Suddenly, Ben opened the door. Hewas breathing heavily and had sweat all over his face. “What do you want?” he asked With a roaring voice.

Before any one could answer Patrick his son swiftly ran out of the house and shouted My father is a dog he is sexually harassing me.”What?”I shouted. “Shut up you bustard” he shouted,”yes he tried to rape me his own son “patrick cried. I felt pity for Patrick as he wept with sorrow. But all in all he was arrested.

He was first taken to the hospital to be checked whether he was normal but he was confirmed.

We Need Leaders Not Bosses

The long waited day finally came .The citizens of Kenya were anxiously waiting for that day with much zeal and anxiety to vote for their favorite candidates.

The following day, most Kenyans woke up very early to their respective polling stations to cast their votes.

When it reached dawn, the ballot papers were already being counted, people all over Kenya were glued on their  television sets, while some had switched on their radios to hear their next president .

After the long wait ,Hon Samuel kivuitu who was the chairman of ECK,  was seen on the television and heard on the radio announcing the results.

By six o’clock the winner had already been announced. Some people were happy as some were sad about the announcement. Rumor started spreading like fire that the winner had rigged the election.

Immediately, supporters of the defeated presidential candidate all over the country started burning up people’s houses and government premises and property, they were also looting.

As days went by,more killings took place in every corner of the country,in the long run it turned out to be tribal war. Lives were lost, be it in churches, homes, on the way…..children and mothers weeping…running away for their dear lives.

Politicians saw this mess, but none was willing to buck down, till mediators from other countries came in to cool the situation.

Marriages were destroyed, as a result of tribal killings, children were left orphans, mothers, widows while the fathers widows. An experience that made innocent lives be lost and made people have wounds on their hurts that will take decades to heal.

Kenyan’s, it is a wake up call to our politicians to stop being greedy politically.
